Fractional Distillation Unit (FDU)
The Fractional Distillation Unit (FDU) shown in the drawing is constructed entirely from high-quality borosilicate glass, ensuring excellent chemical resistance, thermal stability, and transparency for observation during operation. Key components include a glass vessel with flush bottom valve, fractional column packed for optimal separation, glass coil condenser, reflux divider, heating bath, cooling coils, multiple valves, and receivers. A thermometer pocket and vent valve allow for precise temperature monitoring and pressure control, making the system suitable for laboratory and pilot-scale chemical processes.
- This FDU is ideal for the purification and fractionation of solvents, monomers, essential oils and other organic and inorganic liquids based on differences in boiling point. Typical operating tasks include batch distillation, solvent recovery, product concentration and pilot scale simulation of plant distillation sequences in R&D and quality control labs.
