- Concentrated sulfuric acid and dilution water are metered into the glass dilution chamber, where they mix under controlled conditions that manage the strong exothermic heat of dilution and avoid localized overheating or vapor flashes. The hot diluted acid then passes through a glass heat exchanger and buffer tank, where it is cooled to the required delivery temperature and circulated or transferred for storage and downstream use as a ready to use utility chemical.
- All primary wetted parts are fabricated from borosilicate glass 3.3, fluoropolymers such as PTFE, and selected corrosion resistant alloys, ensuring long term resistance across the full sulfuric acid concentration range and at elevated temperatures. A typical glass dilution system consists of a specially designed dilution chamber, glass heat exchanger, glass buffer/receiver, circulation pump for dilute acid, and interconnecting glass pipelines, valves and thermowells, often integrated on a compact skid for easy installation.
